Dr Emily Munn Bsc., ND
My approach is listening and caring for the whole person while finding and treating the root cause of symptoms and disease. My areas of focus are PCOS, PMS, endometriosis, menopause, acne, infertility, thyroid dysfunction, and adrenal health.
Functional medicine called to me after being disappointed with the standard treatment options presented to me when faced with my own health challenges. After completing my bachelor degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where I played NCAA Division One soccer, I returned home to beautiful British Columbia to study naturopathic medicine. I graduated from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM) where I completing my 4 years of naturopathic medical school with certification in Acupuncture. I have additional education and training in hormone balancing, fertility and menopause and work collaboratively with some of the top fertility clinics in the lower mainland. I am also trained in bowen therapy. At BINM, I served on the Boucher Botanical Garden committee, traveled to Nicaragua with Natural Doctors International, and completed part of my 1500+ clinical intern hours at Family Naturopathic Clinic in Victoria, B.C. as well as an externship with Mama Baby Haiti in Cap Haitian, Haiti.
While having extensive training in general family medicine, my primary focus is in women’s health: PCOS, PMS, endometriosis, menopause, acne, infertility, thyroid conditions, and adrenal function. My clinical practice achieves root-cause solutions with herbal medicine, diet & lifestyle advice, vitamins & minerals, acupuncture, bowen therapy, and bio-identical hormone therapy. I am part of a great collaborative team of health care practitioners at Living Wellness Centre located in beautiful South Surrey, BC.
In my spare time, I enjoy trail running with my dog, practicing yoga, swimming, snowboarding, and camping in our Westy with my daughter and husband.
