Naturopathic Doctor

MY APPROACH

My approach is listening and caring for the whole person, finding and treating the root cause of symptoms and disease, and believing in the innate ability that everyone has to heal and be well. My specialty is acupuncture and naturopathic medicine for women’s health & fertility: PCOS, PMS, endometriosis, menopause, acne, infertility, low thyroid, and adrenal health.

About Me

While having extensive training in general family medicine, my primary focus is women’s health & fertility: PCOS, PMS, endometriosis, menopause, acne, infertility, thyroid conditions, and adrenal function. I am part of an awesome collaborative team of health care practitioners at Living Wellness Centre in beautiful South Surrey, BC.

Functional medicine called to me after being disappointed with the standard treatment options presented to me when faced with my own health challenges. After completing my bachelor degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where I played NCAA Division One soccer, I returned home to beautiful British Columbia to study naturopathic medicine. I graduated from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine where I completing my 4 years of naturopathic medical school with certification in Chinese medicine and acupuncture.  I am also a certified bowen therapist. I served on the Boucher Botanical Garden committee, traveled to Nicaragua with Natural Doctors International, and completed part of my 1500+ clinical intern hours at Family Naturopathic Clinic in Victoria, B.C. and an externship with Mama Baby Haiti in Cap Haitian, Haiti.

In my spare time, I enjoy trail running with my puppy Jade, practicing yoga, swimming in the ocean, snowboarding, and cooking wholesome healthy meals with my family.

Laboratory testing can help uncover the cause of illness and disease while giving increased insight into disease prevention and how to best treat a specific condition

Supplements & Nutraceuticals

Nutraceuticals or supplements when prescribed by a licensed naturopathic doctor are powerful and useful medicines with fewer side effects than pharmaceutical drugs.

Bowen Therapy

Bowen therapy is a gentle hands-on technique based in osteopathy used in the treatment of various conditions, most notably chronic pain and stress-related conditions.
